A recent post at PerlBuzz.com shows that Perl is anything but dead in the marketplace. The graph, built on Dice.com data, shows that Perl jobs are 2.5 times
more prevalent than PHP, 4.5 times more than Python and 9.5 times more than Ruby. Long live Perl!

If you missed YAPC in Houston and OSCON in Portland, you have a chance to catch another Open Source conference right here in our own backyard. RubyConf 2007 will be held Nov 2-4 at the Omni Charlotte Hotel. Tickets are $250 (more than YAPC but less than OSCON).
